She's 4 Today!

I can't believe she is 4 today.  It seems like only yesterday we were waiting on her arrival.
Happy Birthday sweet baby.  Grammy and Papa love you more than you will ever know.

What A Difference A Week Makes

Last week this time we were dealing with this:

Please pray for those who were flooded out. Several people have lost everything. Places flooded that have never flooded and were not classified as flood plains. So many people did not have flood insurance and are having to rely on the goodness of others as well as assistance from the government. The silver lining though is that as bad as it is it could have been so much worse.

Today we have a beautiful fall day. Sunny and warm. Typical Atlanta weather.

I don't know what it is about the month of September. Last year we had a gas shortage and lines that were reminiscent of the 1970's.

I have come to the conclusion that the only thing to do is remember God is in control and.....

Have You Ever?

Have you ever been gone from your blog so long you couldn't remember your log in and password? Well I am ashamed to say that I have neglected by little blog baby so long I really couldn't remember. Had to stop and think. How sad is that?

Did I hear you ask what has kept me away so long? It was a very busy show summer and now the fall show season is upon us. I have been so busy with sewing and creating that I just haven't had much time for posting. I am excited that my fall calendar is full with shows but that does put on the pressure to make sure I have enough inventory for each show.

The first weekend of the month I was at the Woodstock Market Outdoor Market and Show. The Market and Show is run by 3 really sweet ladies who have a real vision for bringing something to Woodstock that has been much needed. The Market is described as a gathering place where people can share and sell those things they've come to love themselves. The plan is to bring back the feel of an "Old World Outdoor Street Market." The Market features an eclectic mix of goods ranging from:

1. Plants and Flowers to Fresh Produce

2. Antiques to Vintage

3. Architectural Salvage to Metal Art

4. Unique to One-of-a-kind finds

This show is so much fun to do and I can't wait until next month. Woodstock Market is located in the old Wal-Mart building on Hwy 92 and Hwy 5 in Woodstock. If you are in the neighborhood come by and check it out. You won't be disappointed.

Last weekend my sweet friend Charity and her Women's Ministry team hosted their very first Women's Conference. They were gracious enough to invite me to be a vendor there. They did a great job with the conference and I was honored to be a part of it. Thank you so much ladies for allowing me to share in such a wonderful God honoring time.

We also celebrated Miss K's 1st birthday and managed to squeeze in some quality time with her and Miss B.

As you can see it was a very full summer and I loved every minute of it.

Miss B. And The Nasty Ear Infection

Once upon a time there was little girl named Miss B. She was full of energy and always playing and getting into something. Life with Miss B. was a real adventure. One day while she was playing a nasty little bug came to visit. This bug's name was Mr. Ear Infection and he decided he liked it in Miss B's ear and wanted to stay.

Miss B's mommy and daddy did everything to try and make him leave. They tried giving her medicine, which Miss B. did not like at all and would spit it out or not take any of it. Well Mr. Ear Infection was very happy that Miss B. wouldn't take her medicine and he made her sicker. She started running a fever and not eating or drinking anything. Since she was feeling so bad her mommy and daddy had to take her to the hospital and spend all night in the Emergency Room. The doctor's gave her a shot and fluids by an IV. This helped Miss B. a little bit, but she still isn't feeling very well. Her mommy is taking her to see the doctor today and all of her friends are praying that he will be able to give her some medicine that make Mr. Ear Infection want to move out because they want Miss B. to be able to go back to her high energy, adventure filled life................

2009 All Ready? Where Did 2008 Go?

Happy New Year to one and all. I can't belive 2008 is gone already! 2088 was a wonderful year for our family. The year started quiet enough, but the last half of the year was a whirlwind of activity. In June we welcomed Kallie Elizabeth to our family. I got to spend a whole week helping her Mom and Dad out and spending time with her big sister Brooklyn. That was a special time for me. From August to December was even more of a whirlwind. I spent those 5 months getiting ready to be an exhibitor at 2 craft shows and 2 Women's Conferences as well as completing custom orders for Christmas.

Needless to say 2008 was a wonderful but exhausting year, so I have spent this week resting. I have also put my poor neglected house back in shape. It now looks more like the house I spent all summer decorating when we were having it built 3 years ago.

I am posting a few pictures that say more about 2008 than I can.

I pray that you and yours have a wonderful and prosperous 2009.
