The Mad Hatter Tea Party
Last Saturday Queen B and her mom attended the Mad Hatter Tea Party . This is an event that is put on by the American Business Women's Association in a neighboring county. They attended with Queen B's best friend ever and her mom. As you can tell by the pictures they had a wonderful time playing pink flamingo croquet, listening to the storyteller, hunting Easter eggs and meeting all the characters.
What a terrific way to spend a beautiful spring day.

Spring Show Season Has Begun
The spring show season officially begins this weekend for me. I can't wait. I kind of miss being the "shop girl" for a weekend. Not only that but this is one of my favorite shows I do. The weather in the Atlanta area is supposed to be beautiful and spring like this weekend so come on by and say hi. Here is where I will be.
The Woodstock Market & Show.
Just minutes off Hwy 75 & 575, Woodstock Market & Show is located in the old Walmart shopping center on the corner of Hwy 92 and Canton Road. With ample room and parking this young Antique Show could become a "must visit" for decorators, collectors and Antique lover's alike.
About the Show
The Market is described as a gathering place where people can share and sell those things they've come to love themselves. The plan is to bring back the feel of an "Old World Outdoor Street Market." The Market will feature an eclectic mix of goods ranging from:
1. Plants and Flowers to Fresh Produce
2. Antiques to Vintage
3. Architectural Salvage to Metal Art
4. Unique to One-of-a-kind
There will definitely be something for everyone!
You DON'T want to miss it!

It Snowed!!!
I know I am a week late posting this, but life has a way of changing my plans. I had planned to talk about our "SnowJam 2010" earlier in the week it just didn't work out that way though. It was my kind of snow-lasted all of about 24 hours. By 12:00 on Saturday the roads were clear and dry. The snow was beautiful to look at and the kids had a great time playing in it all weekend. Now that we have had our snowstorm for the winter we can bring on Spring. I for one am more than ready.
What do you do when you are "snowed" in for the day? Well we spent our day catching up on monogramming orders. By Saturday night we had monogrammed 51 purses, 1 market tote, 1 lunch bag, and 4 pillowcases. Mission accomplished.

DIY Dish
I am so excited that Kim and Kris are bringing their creativity to video. I can't wait for their new site to kick off! Their other two sites http://www.youcanmakethis.com/ and http://www.swakembrodiery.com/ are two of my favorite sites. I love all of the ideas and patterns that are on both sites. As a visual learner I am more than exicited that they will be "showing" us how to actually do the techniques instead of reading how and hoping it turms out right.
Not only that but they are giving away two brand spanking new machines to celebrate the launch of their new site and thanks to their friends at Janome. The two machines are the Janome 350e EMBROIDERY machine and the Janome DC4030 SEWING machine. That's two machines for two winners. There are several ways to win so go check out the new site and find out the "dish" on how to win.
Can't wait for Spring and the first video! Now go check it out at http://www.diydish.com/.

Market Totes
These were my biggest seller at the shows I did this Christmas. The pictures here are just a sample. We have fun new prints coming in everyday. The monogramming makes them oh so personal. Just think of all the uses. Are you a bride to be? Wouldn't these make great gifts for your bridesmaids? They can carry all their wedding day esentssials in them. Pictures will be loaded on http://www.yhdboutique.ecrater.com in the very near future. If you are in the "market" for one of these totes email me at yhdboutique@att.net for color choices and patterns.

She's 4 Today!
I can't believe she is 4 today. It seems like only yesterday we were waiting on her arrival.
Happy Birthday sweet baby. Grammy and Papa love you more than you will ever know.
"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. " Jeremiah 29:11

What A Difference A Week Makes
Last week this time we were dealing with this:
Please pray for those who were flooded out. Several people have lost everything. Places flooded that have never flooded and were not classified as flood plains. So many people did not have flood insurance and are having to rely on the goodness of others as well as assistance from the government. The silver lining though is that as bad as it is it could have been so much worse.
Today we have a beautiful fall day. Sunny and warm. Typical Atlanta weather.
I don't know what it is about the month of September. Last year we had a gas shortage and lines that were reminiscent of the 1970's.
I have come to the conclusion that the only thing to do is remember God is in control and.....
